Beeville, Tx-   The Coastal Bend College Baseball program has recently learned that CBC Pitcher, Preston Allen and CBC First Baseman, Ruben Sepulveda have been named to the NJCAA Division III All-American Third Team for the 2021 season. Allen and Sepulveda become the fourth and fith Cougars to accomplish those honors in program history. (Marco Becerril, First-Team Pitcher 2018, Jordan Gochenour, Second-Team Infielder 2018, and Trent Sholders, Third-Team Pitcher 2019). 

Coastal Bend's Ace hurler, Preston Allen, won five games on the bump during the 2021 campaign. Allen compiled 36 and two thirds of an inning for the Cougars, with a 3.68 ERA. The Red-shirt Freshman from Sugarland, Tx also struck out 37 batters and surrendered 20 hits in his 10 appearances for CBC. 

Ruben Sepulveda, was a hitting machine for Coastal Bend this past season as he batted .335 at the plate, accumalated and On Base Percentage of .420 and a Slugging Percentage of .442. He amassed 69 hits for the season while recording a team-high 43 RBI's. Sepulveda also belted 13 Doubles and three Home runs for the Columbia and Navy. The Rio Grande City, Tx native led the team in games played, with 58. Sepulveda also became the All-Time Hits leader this season, racking up 120 hits as a Cougar.
